![]() I spent more time Googling stutter fixes that NEVER work, or Googling optimised settings to try and get a decent frame-rate than I did playing. Games like AC Odyssey required a massively over-powered PC to achieve a similar resolution and perceived detail level to the console versions, and deliver the magical 60fps. Suppose the first I noticed it would be Unity or Watchdogs stuttering and unplayable, despite having top of the range GPU's during that period. ![]() ![]() Ubisoft games have in my experience always been atrocious on PC. Just to throw my hat into the PC arguments. Especially after the dumpster fire that was Cyberpunk which I think I had recently played and felt ripped off by as well. I was having the typical ubisoft "squirrel!" like distraction fun playing around in the sandbox even with the freezing, but it got to the point where i just had to say F this, considering I had just bought this shiny a few months old ps5, and it didn't sit well to see it freezing up playing a last gen game. As I remember at the time, after a few weeks of research and seeing the responses on ubisoft's end, feeling like i had just been ripped off. It's debatable whether or not that's a software or hardware maker responsibility to test and fix, but I DO think it must be fixed, otherwise it should not be for sale as playable on the ps5. I do wonder if in this case though, perhaps it was hardware related in the sense of it having backward compatibility issues. ![]()
